MISSING CRIME FEST 2010
Unfortunately I won't be at Crime Fest 2010 in Bristol this year, but hopefully we will be able to get early news of the International Dagger shortlist either from live blogging by Karen Meek [founder of the Euro Crime website and a judge this year] or from the CWA International Daggers website here shortly after 7.00 pm on Friday 21 May.

I don't imagine crutches would be the best form of transport at a major book fair Norman but it's sad you have to stay home this year. One of these days I'm going to have to hop on a plane and attend Crime Fest...wonder how I could make the trip a tax write-off
Kerrie, you could try. ;o)
Looking at this year's program I think you would have to be very fit to take advantage of all the events planned. I hope to go next year but take the lifts rather than the stairs.
I wish I could promise I´ll meet you there next year, but I´d better just say I really want to.
I'm very sad to be missing seeing Karen this year, too. Looking forward to the shortlist announcement tomorrow, though!
(I am absent because Prof Petrona is away doing Proffish things, and my remaining at-home daughter has a few early GCSEs.)
Re the shortlist; I hope those who haven't read already them all get enough time to read and assess them before the judges decide.
I too am sad not to be seeing Karen, Maxine, Martin Donna, and all our other online friends.
Mustn't forget young Miss Petrona, good luck with those GCSEs.
I'm sorry that you and Maxine didn't make it, but hope to see you there next year!
I hope to see you in Bristol next year, crutches or no.

Thanks Martin and Peter. I hope that I will be there next year minus the crutches, but possibly with a stick to fight my way through crowds and provide some support.
