A few comments and thoughts about crime books set on the mainland of Europe, with titbits about real eurocrime. We hear so much about crime in the USA that many people imagine that Europe is a crime free zone. In crime fiction Europe has become a real challenger to the Americans, but unfortunately real life crime especially in Britain is increasing as well.

Just seen this-- did I laugh! (even though I am one of the 25 million).
Strangely, Malcolm did not smile when I showed him your post -- some wounds are deep, I guess. (And I am not talking about HMRC)
Diana hates all sport and just about knows the difference between Rugby and Football. But watching part of this game she said "that other team seem much better than us".
This was all the fault of sub prime lending in the USA, no sorry American Football being played on the pitch, and the rain, and the injuries, and the Croats passing the ball .......
Actually it is probably no joke for those firms that were relying on a summer boost to business from Euro 2008.
