A few comments and thoughts about crime books set on the mainland of Europe, with titbits about real eurocrime. We hear so much about crime in the USA that many people imagine that Europe is a crime free zone. In crime fiction Europe has become a real challenger to the Americans, but unfortunately real life crime especially in Britain is increasing as well.

So I give up -- sorry, I am not very good at towns or locations, or pictures generally. In fact, I am prett hopeless altogether on quizzes. Sorry to fail so miserably.
Thanks for trying anyway Maxine. But it could not be Italy there are no cars parked on the double yellow lines.
I have to admit that if I had not taken the photos I would never get the answer.
Flummoxed!
Per Wahloo?
Thanks for your effort Cfr, but sorry wrong.
It is not Italy, and it is not Sweden. Which should help you a lot.

Yes it is a photo of Galway featuring the cathedral. The wet pavements and the rain must have given you the clue.
Galway, Ken Bruen and Jack Taylor.
