There are many houses in England's glorious small towns and villages that seem designed for Miss Jane Marple. Pity about the TV aerial.

Thanks for posting my reply on WWII. The discussion started to encroach on my limits on this. It's not only an intellectual discussion really.

I choose to focus on the good people, the Resistance, those who helped in large and small ways, those who were kind, who cared and were principled.

Hope you feel better soon. My recent panacea has been to read Nero Wolfe mysteries, distracting and easy reading and humorous.
